Table games and stakes
Our poker room is on the second floor at 40 Icomm Drive in Brantford, Ontario, where we usually run 10 tables. Over the years we have focused the action around Texas Hold’em and Omaha Hi/Lo, in both limit and no-limit formats depending on demand that day. Stakes are kept straightforward at $4/$8 and $10/$20 for these games, so you can sit in at a level that matches your comfort and bankroll.
From Monday to Thursday the room opens at noon and runs until 4 AM. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays we start earlier at 10 AM and still close at 4 AM. Longer weekend hours give more room for longer sessions, weekday starts are a bit later by design.
Getting a seat
To secure a spot, most regulars either call ahead or use the app. You can phone the poker pit directly at 519-757-3306 and ask to be placed on the wait list; staff will give you a realistic idea of current wait times based on table turnover. Another option is Poker Atlas - once you download the app, you can check in remotely and see live updates on available seats, so you avoid standing around the pit.
Names do not stay on the board forever. If your name is called and you do not take the seat within 90 minutes, we remove you from the list so the line keeps moving for the next players.

Texas Hold’em structure
Most of the time, our room runs Hold’em. In the limit version, betting follows fixed increments, and in no-limit you are allowed to push in your entire stack at any point you are eligible to act. Tables are set for 9 or 10 players, with professional dealers managing the cards, pots and betting sequence across all streets.
Each player starts with two private hole cards. Five community cards are dealt face-up in stages - the flop, the turn, then the river - with betting rounds after each stage. The minimum buy-in ties to the table stakes, and you can top up or rebuy directly at the table without needing to leave. Chip colours follow standard casino practice so bet sizes are clear at a glance for both players and dealers.
Omaha Hi/Lo option
For players who prefer more cards and split pots, we spread Omaha Hi/Lo as well. In Omaha you receive four hole cards, but you must use exactly two of those together with three board cards to form your final hand. The pot is divided between the best high hand and any qualifying low hand when one is made.
To qualify for the low side, a hand must have five different cards ranked eight or below. If there is no qualifying low hand, then the high hand takes the full pot, which changes how some players approach river decisions. Omaha usually runs in the evenings and on weekends once there is enough interest - just speak with the pit, and if there is a list, we start a game as soon as we have the numbers.
Bad Beat Jackpots
We currently maintain two Bad Beat Jackpot pools. One is a Local Bad Beat that applies only to Brantford Casino poker tables. The second is a Multi-Destination jackpot that is shared with Pickering Casino Resort and Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, so in practice that pool tends to climb faster and reach larger amounts.
A jackpot triggers when a very strong hand is beaten by an even stronger one, often with requirements like quad eights or better losing. In most cases both the winning and losing hands must use both of their hole cards, and the full details are posted clearly at the tables.
When a qualifying Bad Beat hits, everyone who was dealt into that hand participates in the payout. The player holding the losing hand receives the largest share, the winner takes the next portion, and the remaining players at the table divide the rest. The exact distribution percentages are displayed on the jackpot boards inside the room.
